Description

(i) This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format outlined in FAR Subpart 12.6, and as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.

(ii) Solicitation Number 14501FY24TOWINGLINE is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ).

(iii) Solicitation 14501FY24TOWINGLINE and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2023-01, dated 30 December 2022.

(iv) This acquisition will be issued as a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS 336611 with a small business size standard of 1, 250 employees.

(v)

USCGC Polar Star is in need of 01 TOW lines with the following specification:

2-1/4”dia (7”circ) x 1150- cut length

High Modulus Polyethylene Tow Hawser

Minimum Rated Breaking Strength 403, 000lbs not to exceed 450, 000lbs

18” eye splice with thimble (code 930 material or equal) on one side

3- eye splice on the other side

Lowest Price Technically Acceptable.
