In 2024-2026 a new user and user survey shall be carried out among museums in Norway. The Norwegian Directorate of Culture is, on behalf of the Ministry of Culture and Equality, responsible for the survey. The aim of the survey is to provide updated knowledge about the users of Norwegian museums, which on the one hand provide the museums a basis for their public work, and that on the other hand gives the authorities a basis for assessing user numbers and behaviour over time.
