This information has been prepared by United States Postal Service Facilities National Programs Category Management Team (CMT). This Request for Information (RFI) does not constitute a commitment, implied or otherwise, that the Postal Service will act in this matter.

Background

The US Postal Service owns and leases approximately 32, 000 facilities Nationwide and is seeking to identify potential suppliers who possess the expertise, capabilities, and experience to provide a whole loading dock and interior door solution.

Our loading dock system is comprised of sectional overhead doors, bumpers, seals, air powered pit type levelers, hydraulic edge-of-dock levelers with a flip ramp, truck restraints with integrated control panel and automatic light communication packages, manual wheel chocks and dual function scissor type lift/levelers.

Additionally, USPS facilities utilize double action, impact resistant, security type, interior traffic doors.

A whole dock and interior door solution is preferred but USPS is using this RFI to target all suppliers capable of providing either whole loading dock or interior traffic door needs. These requirements will support a wide variety of applications including new construction, location expansions, and maintenance of current facilities.
