SCOPE : The proposed scope for the waste assessment and opportunity analysis should cover the following aspects: 1. Review the conformity of our current waste management practices against legal requirements, Group standards and international best practice. 2. Conduct an audit of Debmarine Namibia sites (site visits required), waste service providers and contractors associated with Debmarine Namibia-s waste management practices. 3. Conduct a baseline assessment of the current quantities and types of waste generated within the business at each operating site including the fleet. 4. Evaluate the current waste streams. 5. Review current waste measurement, data gathering, and reporting systems. 6. Assess the effectiveness of current waste management protocols and processes including contractor compliance. 7. Identify waste reduction opportunities and provide detailed methodologies on waste minimisation techniques to reduce risks and cost. 8. Benchmark waste management against leading best practices and improvement opportunities. 9. Identify opportunities for the adoption of the circular economy in waste management. 10. Conduct mapping exercise of the current waste management lifecycle in terms of the ‘cradle-to-grave- process. 11. Calculation of current diversion rates. 12. Conduct a desktop review of priority material streams contributing to current waste streams. 13. Identify opportunities and propose alternative means of addressing potentially challenging waste types. 14. Develop activations and campaign materials to raise awareness of good waste management practices for all stakeholders. 15. Develop a comprehensive waste management dashboard.
