Tenders are invited for Water Sanitation Hygiene (Wash) Service Delivery Partnerships Proposals: The Non-Governmental Organisations Sector: 2023/2024.
1. Gauteng
Emfuleni Local Municipality
✓ Sharpeville (Repairs of reticulation of burst pipes)
✓ Vereeniging (Repairs of reticulation burst pipes)
✓ Boipatong (Cleaning of sewer drainage systems).
2. Mpumalanga
Govan Mbeki Local Municipality
Installation of 100 communal taps in two sites. ✓ Ekuthuleni Township (50)
✓ Umzi Omnyama Township (50)
Victor Khanye Local Municipality
✓ Savannah Township (Drilling of two (02) boreholes, testing, equipping, installation of stands and storage tanks. Installation of communal taps and filtration/purification units).
✓ Brakfontein (Repairs and maintenance of dysfunctional boreholes)
3. Free State
Metsimaholo Local Municipality
✓ Mooidraai (Repairs and maintenance of boreholes and supply of water storage tanks)
✓ Cleaning of Vaal Dam.

Scope of Work (Drilling of boreholes)
All sites/sections require the following specifications:
Conducting of Geo Hydrological survey, assessment, and report
Conduct Borehole siting.
Drilling of new boreholes
Drilling production borehole @ 120m depth maximum
Aquifer testing
Provision borehole/s pump testing
Borehole water quality testing
Equipping/Installation of two (02) tank stands 3m height, with solar panels where there is
no electricity and /electrical powerhouse to supply (control box and timer) for power supply.
Install tank stands as per their regulations and standards.
Built a powerhouse and install purification systems and power box as per pictures attached.
Equipping of purification systems per borehole as per borehole/lab test requirements.
Equipping of two x (02) 10 000 litres of JOJO tank as well as 300 meters extended piping
closer to the central of the community so that they do not walk a distance to get water per
borehole.
Installation of standpipe or tap at the edge of the pipe/ communal taps. parallel both sides
Piping 300m, HDPE pipe.
Provision for security of borehole site, (mesh fence with razor wire)
Submersible pump (borehole pump)
Installation of concrete slab by 1.5 x 1m
From the ground 30 cm in the ground 15cm and top 15 cm
The communal taps must in the blue pipe
Small drainage system with 1m deep next to the communal taps to prevent mud around
the communal taps inside the drainage system must have a stone.
Before installation the serves provider must be taking photos of all materials and after
installation
NOTE: Consider ESKOM power supply to ensure power supply and sustainability of the borehole
1.3. Scope of works (Installation of communal taps)
Extending of communal taps from the boreholes by 200 m away from the tanks
Installation of concrete slab by 1.5 x 1m
From the ground 30 cm in the ground 15cm and top slab 15 cm
The communal taps must in the blue pipe color.
Small drainage system with 1m deep next to the communal taps to prevent mud around the communal taps, inside the drainage system must have a stone.
