The Whitehorse Spillway stoplogs consist of a set of ten stoplogs that are stacked upstream of one of the spillway gates to isolate the gate from Schwatka Lake, the reservoir upstream of the Whitehorse Dam, so the gate can be tested, inspected and maintained. The current stoplogs are from the 1950-s and are constructed with wood seals. The current seals leak excessively and do not allow for safe work downstream of them. YEC would like to refurbish the stoplogs and upgrade to rubber seals to reduce the leakage and achieve Single Device Isolation (SDI) Certification for the stoplogs.
