Description

This document describes a metal Additive Manufacturing (AM) system for the Metal Workingand Machining Shop Set (MWMSS). The MWMSS is an assemblage of machinists cutting, measuring, and welding equipment integrated into two one side expandable 8-x8-x20- mobileshelters. The MWMSS was designed to support the Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) 91Ethat combined the previous 44E (Machinist) and 44B (Metalworker/Welder). The requirement isto procure metal AM machines and installation services to incorporate them into the MWMSSthat have been fielded in multiple locations both within and outside the continental UnitedStates.
