IFC aims to conduct a regional overview of the status of women as employeesand leaders across 10 ASEAN countries inthe insurance sector by examining various aspects such as the current state ofwomen's employment, the presence of internal gender-inclusive policies, skillgaps, and factors that limit women's representation in the industry. The study aims to identify opportunities to improve gender balance and acceleratethe inclusion of female insurance professionals, particularly in leadershippositions. The goal is also to draw insights into the link between gender diversity in the industry and the availability of regulatory gender-responsive policies that address the needs of women employees. IFC aims to hire a consultant firm to develop the methodology in consultation withIFC's project team. The firm will comprehensively assess females employed inthe insurance industry who are members of IFC's partner. This assessment will gather dataon gender diversity, employment status, insurance coverage, the enablingenvironment, and skill gaps. The research approach will include surveys, focusgroups, and interviews. The survey will be distributed to all participatingmembers of IFC's partner, and their responses will be analyzed and incorporated into thefinal deliverable. The Focus Group Discussions and interviews are to be conductedin select countries, with some sessions organized virtually.Data collection should includebut not limited to: · A comprehensiveliterature review to examine the presence and extent of gender-responsiveregulatory policies within the ASEAN insurance industry. · A baseline HumanResources survey to assess the insurance industry's gender-responsive policies, practices, and statistics.· A human resources baseline survey comprised of HRpolicies and practices and HR statistics. · Employees'perceptions through qualitative staff survey conducted across various levels ofstaff up to management among IFC-s partner's insurance and reinsurance members.· Focus GroupDis...
