The municipality wants to make the best possible youth assistance available to young people and their parents to grow up healthily and safely. The umbrella goal for youth assistance in Almere is that our young people grow up healthy and safely at home. Where this is not (fully) possible, our policy focuses on preventing or shortening (imminent) problems through prevention and early signaling. If temporary or long -term youth assistance is needed without a stay, then it is organized as close as possible to the living environment of the juvenile. The vision and policy goals of the municipality that arise from the Youth Act are the leading for the purchasing of youth assistance. The financial manageability of youth assistance in the long term is an important starting point.
